MATHS- UNIT 8- LENGTH

In this unit we are learning to measure lengths of objects in centimetres only and in metres only and to compare lengths.

(longer than- the longest/ shorter than- the shortest/ taller than-  the tallest).

SOCIAL SCIENCE- UNIT 7- KEEP SAFE!

 People and things keep us safe. For example,  police officers and zebra crossings keep us safe. 


Transports

There are different means of transport.
Transport can be by rail, road, water or air. Some means of transport have wheels. Other means of transport have wings. 



Road safety 

We should follow road-safety rules.
We should wear a seatbelt and cross the road at the zebra crossing. When we ride a bike, we should always wear a helmet. 



Traffic signs
Traffic lights and traffic signs keep us safe. We should obey traffic lights and traffic signs.

    A conjunction is a word that acts as a 'joining word', connecting pairs or groups of words and clauses in a sentence. (but, because, and, or....are conjunctions).

    For instance: 

    I am hungry because I didn't have my breakfast.
    Mary gets up and takes a shower. 
    I love dogs but I don't like cats.
    We can eat pizza or hamburger. 
    The girl ran because she was afraid. 
    I lost my keys so I can't get into my house.
